This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is processed when you use the daily application (“daily”), developed and operated by Felix Haimerl (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously and process personal data exclusively in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and applicable data protection laws.

3. App Store Download Information

When you download daily via an app store (e.g. Apple App Store), certain personal data may be processed by the respective app store operator, such as account identifiers, email address, device identifiers, download timestamps, and payment-related information.

This processing is carried out exclusively by the app store operator as an independent data controller under its own privacy policy. We do not receive access to this data.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) between you and the app store operator.

4. Data Processed During App Usage

When using daily, you may voluntarily create and manage content such as tasks, projects, habits, notes, and other personal information.

This data is stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, analyze, or otherwise process this data on our servers.

If you enable iCloud synchronization, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account. Apple processes this data as an independent data controller. We do not have access to this data at any time.

Personal data is processed only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Upon deletion of the app, locally stored data is removed from your device. Data stored in iCloud remains under your control and subject to Apple’s retention policies.

Data may be retained beyond this period only where required by law or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures in accordance with Art. 32 GDPR to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk.

These measures include, in particular, local device security, operating system protections, and encryption mechanisms provided by the platform (e.g. iOS and iCloud).

We do not transfer personal data to third countries outside the European Union or the European Economic Area.

Where iCloud is used, Apple may process data outside the EU/EEA under appropriate safeguards in accordance with Art. 44 et seq. GDPR.
